## About MechTeam

You build a mech from scratch, then jump inside and work its systems by hand during combat, running from station to station and playing minigames to fire and steer. Hiring a crew lets them take over so you can leave, infiltrate the enemy mech, and take out its pilots, control terminals and combat modules from within; winning means alternating between the two. The campaign asks you to defend four planets with different terrains and enemy types, each handing over a piece of lore about the conspiracy behind the attacks. Controls are WASD to move, Space to jump, F to interact, Ctrl for a melee attack, Alt to scan, the scroll wheel to zoom and P to pause.

The hook is that the mech is a level as well as a weapon, and the chaos of being in the wrong room when a system needs you is the point; one itch commenter was reminded of Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. It is pixel art with incremental upgrades between fights, has an interactive tutorial, and the page states that no generative AI was used. The game is still in development, so expect content to keep arriving, and the developer recommends fullscreen.
