Unfound has no accounts, no ads and nothing to sell. We measure which pages people read and which games they go on to play, so we can find more games like them. This page lists everything we use to do that.
What we measure
- Google Analytics
The pages you view, how you found us, which games you click through to, roughly where you are (country and city) and what device and browser you use. It sets two cookies,
_gaand_ga_*, which last up to two years.Google Analytics doesn't store IP addresses. We've turned off Google signals and ad personalisation, and Google keeps the detailed data for 14 months at most.
- Vercel Web Analytics
- Counts page views without cookies. A visit is recognised by a one-way hash of the request that resets every day, so you can't be followed from one day to the next.
- Vercel Speed Insights
- Measures how fast pages load and respond on real devices. No cookies.
- Links to games
- Every link to a game carries
utm_source=unfoundand the game's name, so its developer can see the visit came from us. The tags say nothing about you. - Game submissions
- If you send us a game, we keep what you write in the form, including your email so we can reply, and a scrambled form of your IP address that limits how many games one person can send in a day.
Your choice
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets no cookies unless you allow them. Everywhere else they're on unless you say no. You can change your answer at any time with , also at the bottom of every page. We save your answer in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.
You can also block Google Analytics everywhere with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Who handles the data
Google runs Google Analytics. Vercel hosts the site and runs Web Analytics and Speed Insights. We don't share the data with anyone else, and we never sell it.
The games we list live on their developers' own sites (itch.io, Newgrounds and others). Once you follow a link, their privacy policies apply.
