About Patentdle

The puzzle opens with one excerpt and the decade the patent was granted. Each wrong guess, or a skip, reveals another excerpt, and they get easier as you go; guess something in the same category and the game tells you you're close but not there.

A new patent arrives every day at 05:00 Oslo time, and every past puzzle is in the archive. It's a clever fit for engineers, inventors, history-of-technology fans and anyone who enjoys decoding dense technical prose.
