How we chose these games

We started from Google's top results for "cricket games" (in India these are mostly live scores and match news) and itch.io's list of browser-playable cricket games. We opened every candidate to confirm it is free and runs in a browser. We left out fantasy cricket and betting apps, and games built on real players, national teams or league branding. Many small cricket games now say that AI tools helped make them; where a developer says so, we note it on the pick.

Every game here was checked on Oct 15, 2026 to be free and to run in a web browser with no download. Editors are playtesting each one for a full review; scores appear once that is done.
